If you are using braided supply cables, the braid must appear on the supply cable certificate. It is not acceptable to substitute a braided cable for an unbraided cable on any appliance without modifying the approval for the appliance. If you are a cable supplier and you wish to add the braided option to your cable certificate, the flex and cable pulling tests must be completed on the braided model and the certificate modification processed.

ESV RCBO ban
The ESV have instigated a ban on RCBOs in Victoria unless extra testing is completed, samples are submitted and the product registered. You can view details here. It is important to note that this applies to sales of RCBOs in Victoria only and does not affect sales to any other part of Australia or NZ. Your SAA certificate remains valid, even in Victoria.
