SAA is delighted to announce that they are re-launching their EMC service with a greatly improved offering.
The purpose of the EMC service is to give suppliers and importers confidence that their EMC documentation meets regulatory requirements in Australia and can be included in the portfolio of documents which must be held by the importer in Australia.
The service will be divided into two parts:
EMC Certification service, which consists of review of test reports for compliance with local EMC regulations and issue of an SAA EMC certificate, fee AUD 1000, and:
Radio Frequency Device Certification service, which consists of review of radio and EMC reports for compliance with local EMC and radio regulations and licensing and issue of an SAA RF certificate, fee of AUD 1400.
We will also offer telecoms certification through an accredited third party, fee will be advised before application.
It is simple to make an application – tick the box for EMC on the application form and include the EMC reports. We will take care of the rest.
SAA Approvals is accredited by the Joint Accreditation Service of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) as a third party certification body to issue certificates for electrical equipment that has proven to comply with the safety requirements of the applicable Australian Standard.
SAA Approvals is accepted and gazetted by the New South Wales Fair Trading as a Recognised External Approvals Scheme (REAS) and Queensland Electrical Safety Office as a Recognised External Certification Scheme (RECS).
