RECS EESS 数据库
As most clients will know, the EESS administration pushed ahead with the introduction of a new database in December 2024. There have been a number of issues with the new database, as the format of the new information and interface with our systems is different to the previous database.
如大家所知，监管部门在2024年12月份引入了一个新的EESS数据库。该数据库目前有许多问题悬而未决，新的格式和界面都与旧的数据库有很大的不同。
We are automatically uploading our data as usual to the database, but there have been a number of instances where the upload simply does not work. This is particularly true for any renewal certificate, or any modification. Our fee includes the automatic upload, but if we have to manually upload any certificates, then an extra fee has to be charged to account for the huge amount of time it takes to do the manual upload which is a cumbersome process.
我司仍然自动上传证书至数据库，但是很多情况下无法上传成功，对于所有的证书更新，修改尤其困难。我司申请费中包含了自动上传证书这一项，但是如果需要人工手动上传，我司将收取一定的手续费，因为人工上传过程冗长，费时费力.
There is also the issue that any data we uploaded before 6 December 2024 cannot be used to renew existing EESS registrations in the EESS database. However, you can take out a new registration using the existing data. If you want the existing information modified (the EESS administration is calling this enrichment). This can only be done manually under the current system, so requires more admin expense from us, which is why you will be charged for this service.
还有一个问题，所有于2024年12月6号之前上传的数据，无法用于在数据库中更新现有的EESS注册。但是，您可以利用现有的数据重新登记注册。如果您想对现有内容进行修改（监管部门称之为enrichment），在现有系统里只能通过人工手动完成，因此我司会针对此项服务收取一定费用。
The Queensland Government has informed us that they will be introducing requirements for a lot more data to be uploaded to the EESS database, including a photo of every single model and label and many other sub categories. This will make applying for a RECS certificate in the future much more expensive and time-consuming, as we have been informed by the EESS management that the number of models per certificate will be less than the current 500 model limit and the client is going to have to carefully fill out a very detailed application form with all the extra information. We are not sure when they are introducing these new requirements, or exactly how we will be able to upload them to the database, so we cannot give an indication of the extra fees at this stage, but they will be substantial.

From this week, we will be giving clients the option to apply for a REAS certificate only, which does not require upload to the database or any of the other extra data required by any change in the EESS system. The certificates will still be uploaded to our SAA public database and will be available for public view by all stakeholders.
从这周起，我司将为客户提供REAS Only的证书选项，REAS证书不要求上传至EESS数据库, 当然也不需要遵循EESS其他任何额外要求。这些证书仍然会上传至SAA的公开数据库，向所有利益相关人公开开放。

A reminder that from June 2025, AS/NZS 62368.1:2022 must be used for any applications for this standard.

AS/NZS 60598.1:2025 (ed 9) has finally been published. The date of application is 14 March 2028, so either AS/NZS 60598.1:2017+A1-2 or this new standard can be used for applications until then.
AS/NZS 60598.1:2025 (ed 9)终于公布了，实行日期为2028年3月14号，在此之前，AS/NZS 60598.1:2017+A1-2与AS/NZS 60598.1:2025 (ed 9)两者共存，都可以适用。
Also, please remember that AS/NZS 60335.1:2022 (IEC Ed 6) is only to be used when the corresponding AS/NZS 60335.2 has been published. Most standards still require compliance with AS/NZS 60335.1:2020+A1 (IEC Ed 5.2).
